Christian is defined as "man living in Christ and Christ living in man" that was according to Galatians 2:20. Therefore all who received Jesus Christ as his/her personal Saviour has a "new birth" or "new creation". Now that we are Christian we should know the "Four Basic Foundation of a Christian Life".
1 : Prayer
Our communication to God is our prayer. Prayer is simply your talking with and listening to God. Meaning it is a dialogue, not only you is speaking but also Him. James 5:16 "So then, confess your sins to one another and pray for one another, so that you will be healed. The prayer of a good person has a powerful effect." In this verse, it is stated to pray for one another because it produces good results.
2 : Word of God
Joshua 1:8 "Be sure that the book of the Law is always read in your worship. Study it day and night, and make sure that you obey everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful."
As Christian, reading word of God or the bible is a necessity, as stated meditate it day and night. Not only reading but also applying what we read. Bible is absolutely necessary for spiritual growth. How will you know or grow if you don't read? Actually there are 10 Promises to those who Read and Obey the Word of God.

3 : Worship
Worship means honoring God in everything. Meaning respect in all things we do. Your lifestyle, emotions, your talking, your respect and your responsibility reflects who is God for you. In Romans 12:1, "...Offer yourselves as a living sacrifice to God, dedicated to his service and pleasing to him. This is the true worship that you should offer." In fact, worshiping Him in "spirit" and in "truth" is the true worship.
4 : Love
The motivation on how you will demonstrate your mutual or unconditional love to one another like Jesus did to us. It is written that "God is love", He first loves us when Jesus died on the cross for our sins. Jesus saved, justified, sanctified, reconciled, redeemed, forgive us, give us eternal life and transfered us. This eight acts of love of Jesus Christ is the reason why we ought to love one another.
